The Africa International Hair Extravaganza 2014

13 - 14 September brought the Africa International Hair Extravaganza at Vodacom World Midrand.
The Extravaganza was a play of entertainment, hair demonstrations, giveaways, showcases of hair styles and fashion as well as stalls with various products and anything to do with hair. Hair extensions, hair colleges and courses and more. An extravaganza.
I didn't get s chance to attend the conference which took place the day before (the 12th) and I heard it was very educational and informative. I went to the extravaganza session on the 13th - I would encourage time keeping by organizers and participants at these type of events, we decided to be there early as we had a very little person accompanying us (baby Malik) and had to dawdle abit before things really kicked off. For me, the most enjoyable part was seeing the locally produced natural hair care products and meeting the people behind them.

 Design Essentials (http://www.dehair.co.za/) was also present as well as the Royal Hairstyles Academy (http://www.royalhairstyles.com/).
I feel the platform and event itself could have had more for example focus groups on a particular topic going on in one area but it was still an enjoyable morning.
As mentioned I was thrilled about the locally produced hair care lines on show and look forward to seeing more from them;
