Known as the Texture Gurus, Atlanta based stylists Alicia Bailey and Deshonica Kerrie will be sharing tips and tricks for the maintenance of healthy hair! With over 20 years of industry experience and a love for Natural hair that has seen them feature on several catwalks and in numerours publications, this styling duo will help you take your hair regme to the next level!
With a afternoon promising fun, mani's& pedi's and light snacks, you and your girlfriends will defininately want to get in on on the Candi Coated action! Oh and did we mention the goodie bags! Yes, there will be lotsa of gorgeous frolicous goodness to take away with you! Did the event live up to the numerous and enticing promises that were made as per above? IT CERTAINLY DID. We had so much fun and all attendees learnt at least one new thing about taking better care of their hair.
We ate - food and drinks were in plenty supply.
We had our nails did (aka mini manicures) - the event started a bit late but we didn't mind we got our nails buffed and polished and painted as we waited.
We talked - before the seminar, during the seminar and after the seminar (o:
We laughed - right through - Deshonica and Alicia know how to keep the attention of their audience along with alot of humor.
We learnt about the best ways to take care of our hair - we asked questions and got superb answers.
We took home goody bags - with full sized products and discount vouchers.
We were given the chance to have the Design Essentails Strengthening Therapy System (STS) done for free for all attendees at the Randburg Candi & Co Salon.
We made new friends or at least got to say hello or share our own hairstories.
Some ladies from the audience got their hair did - yes, we even had Sarah Langa (SA Celeb and Fashionista) bravely go forward and BIG CHOP, yes big chop her hair in front of us all. She looked so beautiful afterward and it was such an emotional moment not just for her but for us all. The moment we decide to embrace ourselves! (watch the big chop youtube clip here)
Another attendee did not believe her hair could attain a texture of sorts or that she could attain a curl in her kinks, neither did she know what her texture was (I'm trying to remember exactly and if you, dear lady read this, then please remind me exactly in the comments below lol), well Alicia, Deshonica and Shaka (Design Essentials South African based Hair Educator) took her to the wash basin and showed her her hair's true potential - she could not stop smiling the rest of the afternoon.
